ENT check-up camps

Ear, nose and throat problems are easy to postpone until they are difficult to treat. Our camps bring qualified ENT specialists to communities where a specialist consultation would otherwise mean lost wages and a long journey.

01

Who the programme seeks to support

The camps are organised for underprivileged sections of society, where the cost of a consultation, diagnostic tests and travel puts specialist ENT care out of reach.

Older adults, people working in dusty or high-noise occupations, and families managing recurring childhood ear infections are among those most affected.

02

What happens during a camp

Camps are structured so that people are seen in an orderly, dignified way rather than in a crowd.

  • Community coordination with local partners before the camp date
  • Registration and a short record of concerns for each person
  • Basic screening by trained staff before the consultation
  • Consultation with a qualified ENT specialist
  • Guidance, prescription or referral, based entirely on clinical assessment
  • Documented follow-up wherever it is practical to arrange

Precautions and everyday care

A significant part of each camp is conversation: how to protect hearing at work, why cotton buds and home remedies often cause harm, when a blocked nose or a sore throat needs attention, and how untreated infections affect children's learning.

This guidance is given by the attending professionals in plain language, so that people can act on it.

Clinical responsibility

Examination, diagnosis, prescription and referral are carried out only by qualified medical professionals. The foundation organises, coordinates and documents the camp; it does not provide medical advice, and nothing on this page should be treated as a diagnosis.
