Animal & human welfare
Care rooted in dignity and empathy
Our purpose
Care without boundaries
Awakening India Foundation directs its efforts towards physical well-being, mental well-being and animal welfare. We support sections of society and vulnerable animals that are often overlooked because resources, care or access are limited.
Through selfless service, we work towards a society where dignity, productive minds and empathy for every life are protected.

Two areas of work
One commitment, carried out in two directions
Animal welfare and human welfare receive equal attention. Each area has its own programmes, professionals and pathways to help.
Animal welfare
Animal welfare
Feeding, rescue, sterilisation, deworming and vaccination initiatives that help stray and abandoned animals live safer, healthier lives.

Human welfare
Human welfare
ENT care, hearing support, health screening and mental-health initiatives created for people and communities with limited access to care.

Selected programmes
Compassion in action
Six programmes from across both areas of our work.

Animal welfare
Stray dog feeding
Regular, responsible feeding that helps community dogs stay healthier and makes other care, such as vaccination or sterilisation, possible.

Human welfare
ENT check-up camps
Free ear, nose and throat check-ups for underprivileged communities, with qualified specialists and practical guidance for everyday care.

Animal welfare
Dog sterilisation drives
Humane population management carried out with qualified veterinary professionals, with proper pre-operative and post-operative care.

Human welfare
Hearing aid camps
Support for people who know they have a hearing difficulty but cannot access suitable assistance because of financial limitations.

Animal welfare
Dog deworming & vaccination
Preventive care delivered under veterinary guidance — assessment, suitable schedules, records and follow-up for community dogs.

Human welfare
Psychiatric camps for jail inmates
Mental well-being support for inmates, delivered through qualified professionals and authorised institutions, with dignity and confidentiality.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What areas does Awakening India Foundation work in?
We work across two areas: animal welfare — feeding, rescue, sterilisation, deworming and vaccination for stray and abandoned animals — and human welfare, which includes ENT care, hearing support, general health screening and mental-health initiatives.
How can I volunteer?
Share your details through the volunteering page. We will contact you about current needs in your city. Roles depend on suitability, availability, training and supervision, so we do not guarantee placement.
Does the foundation accept internship applications?
Yes. Applications can be submitted through the internships page. Tracks are offered subject to availability and the capacity to supervise interns at that time.
How can an organisation partner with the foundation?
Write to us through the contact page, choosing the CSR or institutional partnership enquiry type. Hospitals, veterinary providers, companies, institutions and government bodies are all welcome to begin a conversation.
How can I support the proposed Bhairav Dham project?
The Bhairav Dham page explains the proposal and the partnership pathways available to individual donors, CSR teams, government bodies, veterinary partners, technical partners and volunteers. You can request the full proposal from that page.
How are donations used?
Contributions support programme costs such as food and fodder, veterinary and medical support, camp logistics, equipment and field coordination. We do not publish fixed percentage claims. Verified financial and disclosure documents will be published in Resources as they are approved.
